A little about me

Jackson Myers

My work has often sat at the intersection of science, data, and the natural world. I studied physics at McGill University and Rice University, completing a professional master’s degree in physics at Rice and spending many years working on an Applied Physics PhD (ABD).

That scientific background led me into renewable energy. For more than 13 years, I’ve worked in analytics across the wind and solar industries, helping make complex operating data useful. Today, I continue that work through Catspaw Systems.

Making things

Outside my energy work, I’m an independent app developer. I make apps around the subjects I keep coming back to—weather, sailing, the outdoors, and games—and publish them through Catspaw Systems on the App Store.

Activities

I love spending time outside. I enjoy spending time on the water sailing, hiking in the mountains, and whatever I am doing I am always observing the weather.

Cats

I share my life with my two cats, Texy and Sombrita. They’re a much-loved part of my everyday life.
